The Pupil Premium is allocated to children from low-income families who are currently, or have recently been, known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), and children whose parents are in the armed forces and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months. This group of pupils are termed as ‘disadvantaged’ by Ofsted.
If you are in receipt of certain benefits, your child/children may be entitled to FREE SCHOOL MEALS. Oxford Grove can assist you in completing the necessary forms so that that your child/children receive this benefit.
Please visit the Oxford Grove School Office in order to complete the required paperwork. You will need to bring with either your National Insurance Number or National Asylum Support Number for both you and your partner in order for the paperwork to completed.
Targeted and Expanded Free School Meals
Targeted Free School Meals
Targeted free school meals are available to children whose families meet specific eligibility criteria, usually based on household income and certain benefits.
If your child is eligible, they may receive a free school meal each school day. Applying can also help the school receive additional funding to support pupils and families.
Expanded Free School Meals
The Government is expanding access to free school meals so that more children can benefit from a free, healthy meal at school.
The expanded provision will apply to eligible pupils in families receiving Universal Credit, subject to the relevant income criteria and implementation arrangements.
If you think your child may be eligible, we encourage you to apply. Even if your child is already receiving a free school meal, please check that your details are up to date.
If your child does not qualify for either Targeted Free School Meals or Expanded Free School Meals, Oxford Grove will provide a school meal free of charge for the academic year 2026–2027.
