Privacy Notices (UK GDPR Compliant)

  • The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which came in to force in May 2018 is a legal framework that sets guidelines for the collection and processing of personal information for individuals who live in the European Union. At the core of GDPR are seven key principles and they are laid out in Article 5 of the legislation. The principles are largely the same as those that existed under the 1998 Data Protection Act. GDPR‘s seven key principles which are integral to Oxford Grove’s approach to processing personal data are:
    • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency
    • Purpose limitation
    • Data minimisation
    • Accuracy
    • Storage limitation
    • Integrity and confidentiality (security)
    • Accountability

Following Brexit, GDPR will be brought into UK law and the Information Commissioner will remain the UK’s independent supervisory authority on data protection.

The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018) will continue to apply and the provisions of the GDPR will be incorporated directly into UK law from the end of the transition period, to sit alongside the DPA 2018.

At Oxford Grove Mr Waheed Khalid overseas and acts as a contact point for our Privacy Management Programme pending an update from the Government.
