School Free Fruit – Oxford Grove Primary School

School Free Fruit

At Oxford Grove Primary School, every child is offered a free piece of fruit at break time as a healthy snack.
In Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1, this is funded by the government as part of the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme. Each child receives a piece of fruit, such as clementines, apples or bananas, or a vegetable, such as carrots or sugar snap peas.
In Key Stage 2, this is funded by school. Each child has a choice of a selection of fruit, such as bananas, plums, apples, pears or raisins.
We are the only school in Bolton to fund free fruit for every child.
