    Achieved – January 2019

Oxford Grove has held the Healthy Schools Award since 2006.

Healthy Schools is a national health promotion programme which aims to embed good practice around health issues in schools and to give children and young people the best possible opportunity to develop positive health behaviours.

This year, we have completed our Health and Wellbeing review which certifies that as a school, we have retained our Healthy School status to a high standard.

Oxford Grove has now entered the Healthy Schools Plus process due to significant progress made in this area. This award is centred on showing what difference our Healthy Schools work makes to:

     The whole school

     The perceptions of key groups

     An identified ‘at risk’ group

Using the available local data, we have identified that Healthy Relationships is one of the four local priorities for young people in Bolton. From this, we have implemented an action plan and are working very closely with several outside agencies to provide the very best care for our children at Oxford Grove.
